Marketing Opportunities with the Summerland Chamber
Being a member of the Summerland Chamber of Commerce gives you access to a number of benefits. These benefits include free and affordable marketing opportunties such as brochure racking, free online and print promotion of your business.
Brochure/Card Racking - Free
Chamber members can rack their business cards or rack cards for free at the Summerland Visitor Centre, which is open year-round and welcomes 12,000 visitors a year. Located in a prime location on Highway 97 the Centre is everyone's first point of contact for information.
Business Buzz – Free
Let the Chamber know about your business' latest news and we will share it through our Business Buzz e-blast, sent out every month. Has your company celebrated a key anniversary, received an award or accolade, or undergone renovations? Contact the Chamber so that we can spread the word to over 700 members, post online and feature the news in articles in the Summerland Review and the Okanagan Business Examiner.
Event Listings – Free
Member hosted events are a regular part of the Chamber’s monthly newsletter. If your business is hosting a special event or open house, we can include the details in the online community calendar. Please note – sales events/flyers are not included on the calendar or member hosted events.
Online Business Directory Listing - Free
Chamber members receive a free listing on the Chamber’s website in the Summerland Business Directory, with basic information including Company name, location, contact information and a brief description (200 characters).
Enhanced Online Business Directory Listing - ONLY $85 per year

Summerland Business and Telephone Directory
Summerland’s own Telephone and Business Directory is delivered to all households in Summerland, and given to new residents throughout the year. All members receive a Free white pages listing and have the opportunity to advertise in the Yellow Pages. See the Telephone Directory page for 2016 ad rates.
e-BLAST - $50
Member to Member e-blasts are sent to the entire Chamber mailing list of 700+ recipients for only $50 plus GST per eblast. These are a great way to announce a new service, product range or event. The eblast must be pre-designed as a jpeg (600px wide, max. 1500px high) or pdf, 8.5 x11 inches. Eblasts are also linked to your website or preferred social media site.
The Chamber website includes a complete business directory for Summerland, which draws hundreds of visits a day to our site. Feature ads are available to purchase on several key pages on the Chamber’s site and are available on a first come-first served basis. Banner or SideBox ads are available, and are linked to your website.
Banner ads – 350 x 120, 480 x 60, 480 x 120, or 350 x 178 pixels. Prices range from $40 to $75 (plus GST) per month or $105 to $200 (plus GST) for three months, depending on the size of the ad, the placement and the number of pages it appears on.
There are a maximum of 3 ads that locate in each ad space. Please see the home page for an example.
Business After Business- Hosting opportunity
The Chamber facilitates 10 Business after Business networking events a year and hosting is a great way to put your business in the spotlight. As a host you cover the costs of food and beverages. There is high demand for hosting these events and in order to provide equal hosting opportunity to as many of our members as possible, a business can host once every two years. Valley Wide Business After Hours
Organized in partnership by the Okanagan Valley Chambers of Commerce, The Valley Wide Business after Hours is a trade show and networking event for businesses, which takes place each May. Ticket and vendor booth information is available in March – contact the Chamber office for details. The 2016 Valley Wide Business after Hours will be hosted by the West Kelowna Board of Trade.
