Our winter season is usually fairly mild, encouraging such fun activities as alpine and cross-country skiing nearby, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and ice fishing. Historic preservation is a hallmark of this charming town and visitors are encouraged to check out the Summerland Museum, take a ride on the Kettle Valley Steam Train (seasonal), see the Trout Creek Canyon Trestle Bridge, or enjoy a gentle hike on the Trans Canada Trail. |

| The Summerland Chamber of Economic Development & Tourism is a very active local Chamber whose mandate is to encourage people to visit Summerland, and to encourage people to want to live and work here. The Chamber holds many special events where guest speakers will keep you up to date on activities within the community and at the Chamber.
